Long presents these ideas using minimal, deep grooves, understated and beau=ful synth backdrops and resonant spoken samples, taking the listener to a thoughLul, lucid place.” — DJ Mag Today, Will Long is pleased to share, “We Tend To Forget,” the second single from his forthcoming LP, Long Trax 2, out March 16th on Smalltown Supersound. “We Tend to Forget,” premiered earlier this morning via DJ Mag, is a recollec=on of the ar=st as a young boy witnessing a sour interac=on of racial discrimina=on in his barbershop. The barber, who was cuQng Long’s hair at the =me, refused to cut the hair of a black boy of similar age and shooed him away like a dog. This memory of witnessing such every day and cruel prejudice stuck with Long well into his adult life in great detail. “We Tend To Forget” cri=cizes societal racism. Long Trax 2 follows Long’s deep house debut, Long Trax, released in 2016 on DJ Sprinkles’(Terre Thaemlitz) Comatonse Recordings. Receiving a 4.2 ra=ng, Long Trax was praised by Resident Advisor and described as a “medita=ve listen.” Since 2005, Long has produced ambient music under the name Celer, and is a member of the
