LitePanel System The following steps are covered in this instruction: • Setting up the LiteStand • Assembling the LitePanel frame (The same method is used for all LitePanel sizes, this illustration uses the middle size for demonstration.) • Placing the fabric on the frame • Available Kits and Accessories

Assembling the LitePanel Frame Figures 1 - 6

1. Place the frame on a flat, clean surface and unfold. Sections are shock-corded to keep pieces together.

2. Push the black square tubing into the corner sections.

3. If your frame has shock corded sides, fit the longer straight lengths of tubing into the couplings.

4. The LitePanel CrossBar is an available accessory to fit the 39 x 39, 39 x 72 and 77x77 inch LitePanel frame. The crossbar is the same for the 39 x 39 and 39 x 72 frames. A shock corded cross bar is available for the 77 x 77 frame.

Note: Use of the CrossBar is optional. It is designed to aid in attaching the frame to a LiteStand. The CrossBar is sold separately.

5. Snap the CrossBar into place.

6. Force the T-Clamp of the CrossBar over the frame. Push to secure in place.

Note: For optimum stability it is recomended that the T-Clamp of the CrossBar is positioned over the center connection as shown in Figure 5.

Note: There are holes in the T-Clamp of the crossbar to facilitate bolting for a permanent set up. Photoflex does not include bolts as overtightening will crack the fixture. For most uses snapping in place is the best method.

7-8. Attach the fabric by wrapping one corner of the elastic fabric over one corner of the frame and then work your way around the frame; attaching the final corner will pull the fabric tight.

9. Loosen base collar knob at the top of the legs.

10. Spread legs apart.

11. Push legs down to widen footprint.

12. Keep pushing until the legs are completely open and the flat steel struts are parallel to the floor.

13. Tighten base collar knob to lock legs into place.

14. Loosen knobs on risers to adjust height.

LitePanel Kits are available for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications. They can be used as large reflectors or for blocking the light to create shade or negative fill. The diffusion fabric will soften the sun or your artificial light source. Additional fabrics and accessories are available for each of the kits.

A. LitePanel Hardware — 870571 (LP-SWVLHRDWR) The new LitePanel Hardware allows you to place a LitePanel wherever you wish with added security and functionality to the LitePanel. A unique modular design facilitates a variety of clamping options giving you unlimited freedom to reproduce your vision. C. LitePanel Connector Clips — 870538 (LP-B161CON) This simple little accessory makes it possible to create huge lighting sets! Secure two or more LitePanel frames together for large light tents and many other setup options. Figure 21

E. LitePanel Legs — 870541 (LP-B1602LEG) Adding legs to your LitePanels allows you to positionthem upright without using stands or clamps. LitePanel Legs clip easily to frames and are adjustable so you can use panels vertically or at an angle. Figure 22

F. 39 x 39 LitePanel Grid — 870565 (LP-GRIDS) Combining the LitePanel Grid with your translucent diffusion fabric lets you put the window light just where you need it for the dramatic yet soft lighting used by top cinematic lighting directors. G. The LiteReach Plus — 870058 (AC-LTREACHPLS) The extra-long LiteReach Plus allows your assistant to place your softbox, umbrella or LitePanel wherever you need it. It is designed with balance ball technology so it can be braced on the ground taking pressure off your back. Your assistant will thank you for this! The same balance ball provides a comfortable resting place against your waist for quick positioning on the go. Figure 24
