Literacy Tasks for Week beginning: 8th June 2020, 8/6/20 Spelling Spelling words: This week our spelling words are: Spelling pattern: im/in dim, him, rim, bin, din, fin, what, when. Task: Remember to write your words out using the Look, Cover, Write and Check method. Try to write them out once a day. This week I would like you to write 3 sentences using your spelling words. This week your task is to write your spelling words forwards then backwards, for example: him mih Miss Wilkies spelling group. Those who attend Miss Wilkie for spelling, your words are: Look at the spelling words in your home pack. Depending on your spelling sheet you should either be on: ou (list no.25) or nk (list no.31) . Task 1: Write 3 sentences using your spelling words then complete some of the tasks on the spelling sheet in your home pack. Ask your family to quiz you on your spelling words. Quiz for all to do: Having practised your words all week, dont forget to have a go at your spelling quiz. Get someone in your family to call out your spelling words while you write them down. Check them over together. How did you do? Writing Grammar: This week we are revising verbs. Spelling

Spelling words:

This week our spelling words are:

Spelling pattern: im/in

Task:

• Remember to write your words out using the Look, Cover, Write and Check method. Try to write them out once a day.

Remember this week to write your answers in sentences.

Tasks for other curricular areas

PE Make up an aerobic routine or a short dance to a song of your choice. Maybe you could teach it to someone else?

It should have animal moves. Here are some ideas:

• Bunny hops

• Frog leaps

• Giraffe stretches

• Stretch your arms out like a bird and swoop up and down

• Crawl like a gorilla using your fists
