PLOT FEATURESExposition: the start of the story, the situation before the action

Rising Action: the series of conflicts and the development of the crisis in the story that lead to the turning point. Include all the important events.
Climax: the turning point, the most intense moment—either mentally or in action. This is the point of the story when something CHANGES.
Falling Action: all of the events which follow the turning point
Resolution: the conclusion, the tying together of all of the threads.
