Antagonist-the bad guy-the one who starts trouble
Protagonist-the good guy-usually the main character

struggles against an outside force
Internal-struggle that takes place within the character’s mind
Exposition-Gives background information about characters, conflict or setting
Climax-Turning point of the story-most exciting part!
Rising Action-where the suspense builds
Falling Action-conflict ends-problem is solved
The writer’s attitude toward his subject such as: humorous, serious, or sad
How the story is told
1st person-author uses “I, me, we”
3rd person-author uses “he, she, they”
