needed during services. During the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service, Wee

Get Connected Sunday TODAY

Today we celebrate our connection in

the Body of Christ. Following the

“Welcome,” we will be asking one

member of each household to come

forward and bring your puzzle pieces

to one of the boxes in the Worship Center. We will

be taking communion together in unison today to

celebrate our connection in Christ. Please hold

the bread and juice until instructed to take it to-

gether. TODAY we encourage you to stay for the

Potluck and Pie Social following our service and “get

connected” as you fellowship with other followers of

Christ. If you notice that someone isn’t here today,

encourage them to come and bring their puzzle

pieces next week. Be sure to be here on May 12th

when the puzzle is put together.

For our Potluck and Pie Social TODAY we are asking

the SS classes to take the following responsibilities,

Graduate Recognition

Sunday, May 19th will be our Gradu-

ate Sunday. The names of graduates

will be posted in the bulletin and a

video will be shown during the begin-

ning of the a.m. Worship Service. To be included in

the recognition, graduates will need to leave a recent

picture of themselves including name, school, and

level of degree in the mailbox outside Danielle's of-

fice by Sunday, May 5th. We are seeking all pre-

school, grade school, high school, college and certifi-

cate program graduates. Please be aware that we are

not always sure of who is completing post high

school degrees, so please assist us by providing us

with information.

Special Offering Today

We will be taking a special offering

today for Tamara Tharp, a 26 year old

single mother of two, who has been

diagnosed with terminal stomach can-

cer. Tamara is a co-worker of Chelsea

Mann and we want to show her Jesus’ love by help-

ing with her medical and living expenses. The offer-

ing will be taken at the end of our service. Checks

can be made to Tamara Tharp or LPCC. Thank you!

Kindness Initiative for Sunday School

(K.I.S.S.)

We would like to say "Thank You!" to those that part-

nered with Group Cares and World Vision to provide

treated mosquito nets in recognition of

World Malaria Day on Thursday. Each net

can protect up to 3 children from mosqui-

tos/malaria for years to come. The LPCC

initiative was able to provide 63 nets

totaling $378 in donations!

Oil Belt Summer Camp 2013

Check out the display in the foyer just outside the

Worship Center doors! The camp season will kick-

off on May 18th with Special Needs Day (ages 6 &

up). There are many dates to choose from for ages

Entering 2nd grade through 2013 Seniors. Simply

pick up a brochure, fill out both sides of the regis-

tration, prepare payment (checks payable to Oil

Belt), and give form to Danielle or Aaron. LPCC pays

1/2 the registration fee

for LP youth. Full

scholarships are also

available. Remember

to pick a camp based

on the grade you will

be entering in the fall!

25th Anniversary of Music Camp at Oil Belt

All Music Camp alumni are invited to attend chapel

on Friday morning, June 21, spend the day practicing

and perform at Christ Church

in Effingham that evening.

Gospel Sing Benefit for Jonah Goodman

Jonah is a toddler from Grayville who is battling seri-

ous health issues. The Benefit will be at House of

Prayer on Sunday, May 5th at 2pm and will feature an

We congratulate Jessica & Alex Bond on the birth of

their baby girl, Evelyn Ray, who was born on April

23rd weighing 7 lbs. 12 oz. and measuring 20 1/2

inches long. Congratulations to grandparents, Mark

Today we celebrate our connection in the Body of

Christ. Following the “Welcome” and announcement

time, we will be asking one member of each household

to come forward and bring your puzzle pieces to one

of the boxes in the Worship Center. Be sure to be here
