Little Roddy finds a cow and he asks:

- These are my babies.

- Moo, Moo, say the calves.

- Mummy, mummy, where are you? Says Little

Roddy.

- I can’t find my mother. Are you my mother?

Little Roddy finds a sheep and he asks:

- These are my babies.

- Baa, Baa, say the lambs.

- Mummy, mummy, where are you? Now Little

Roddy is shouting.

still shouting.

Little Roddy finds a cat and he asks:

- These are my babies.

- Meow, meow, say the kittens.

- Mummy, mummy, where are you? Little Roddy is

now crying.

- It’s Mother Duck!

Oh, but what’s that, in the lake?

- Quack, Quack, says Mother Duck.
