the management is only threerooms that have five desks. I hada warm reception from the CEOof the Resort who gave me a briefidea about the facilities at theResort.

The Spa was officially opened on 18/11/2006. Situated in 12hectares of verdant gardens withmango and palm trees, the Al Nahda Resort & Spa is a modern, low rise complex. Theoutdoor pool features a sunterrace with loungers and aseparate children's area. Theresort's health centre offers an individually tailored lifestyleprogramme incorporating fitness,physiotherapy, and spatreatments including massage andbeauty therapies. The spa centre'sfacilities include a steam room,sauna, and 24 hour fitness suite.A multilingual concierge is on hand to offer sightseeingassistance. Further amenitiesinclude 24 hour room service,complimentary wireless Internet,and complimentary secureparking.

Al Nahda Resort's mainrestaurant, Khalab, offers a menuof international dishes. Nozhaoffers al fresco dining and acharcoal barbecue. Lazeez servesa selection of Asian dishes, andSamar, housed in a traditionalArabian tent, specialises inMiddle Eastern fare. Thepoolside bar and Waha Bar offercocktails and host regular liveentertainment. The resort offerscamel and elephant rides withinthe grounds. Bicycles can behired on site.

The 109 studios and whitewashedvillas at the Al Nahda Resorthave bright, modern decor withMoorish accents and rattanfurnishings. All extend tobalconies or terraces. Amenitiesinclude satellite television,DVD/CD players, minibars, andsafes. Bathrooms offer robes,

slippers, and complimentarytoiletries.

The Spa provides facilities for tohave tours at the perfume market,ride horses , camels , camping indesert , visiting of Hooti cave , AlKasfa Spring in Rustaq or AlThawar Spring in Nikhl. Work isunderway to add 40 villas androoms to the Resort.

I was later taken by the directorof sales Mr. Pir Baksh in asplendid tour on the vehicleallocated for the resort guestsonly. I was really impressed bythe facilities provided for theResort visitors. The swimmingpools are very well organized and impressing. The health clubalso provides high qualityservices by a number of massageprofessionals.

If you see the green halldesignated for ceremonies andbig events, you will take adecision to make all your eventsat this hall which hosted anumber of prestigious events inthe Sultanate.

At the end of the tour, I was briefed on the differentrestaurants at the Resort that cater the different needs oftourists from different culturalbackgrounds. I was also impressed by theOmanis who are working foralmost each department at theResort. They all were energeticand enthusiastic.

When I reached their bell man received mewith a broad smile that makes you feel veryfamiliar with the place. was also impressed by the sounds comingfrom the birds that seek shelter at the place.

Warm reception I was received at the main reception areaswhich reflect the genuine Omani architectureby Mr. Pir Bakhs , Director of government

sales. I could not resist looking at thewonderful paintings that decorate the wall.
