The most common animal diseases:

• Avitaminosis• Virus diarrhoea• Infectional rinitracheit• Mastitis• Undulant fever• Parturient paresis• Liver cirrhosis• Metabolic diseases• Toxic dystrophy

• Allergic reactions• Pneumonia• Aerocystitis• Dyspepsia• Gout• Cloasitis• Catarrh craw• Emaciation • Poisoning• Craw stoppage• Oviduct inflamation

In industrial conditions and simulated feeding animals very often undergo through this diseases.

Inclusion into the animals diet of a living plant

Millions of years of evolution in animals 'organism were green plants. In industrial animal husbandry livestock does not get

plant food. Therefore, the use of Chlorella in animal husbandry is a crucially important step.

High biological activity of strains of Chlorella effectively manifested in the prevention of diseases that are caused by mycotoxins. Up to 10% of the total

number of chickens dying from diseases that can be cured. Moreover mycotoxins in foods in the residual amount of a danger to human health.

Chlorella suspension - is a natural probiotic capable of metabolizing mycotoxins into harmless products.

Production of Chlorella biomass is enriched by Selenium (Se) which is useful in animal nutrition

More efficient effect of supplementation with organic selenium compared to non-organic was confirmed on camels. Organic selenium allows a better protection of the new-born camel by transfering it into milk just after parturition.

Since young camels are often affected by sudden death due to selenium deficiency, a ration with Se should be prescribed to mother-camels during pregnancy and lactation. Moreover, as the Se supply by milk decreases regularly after delivery, the supplementation must be renewed in young camels after weaning.

Chlorella for fishes’ gastro-intestinal tract (GIT) support

Norwegian Centre of Excellence, Aquaculture Protein Centre (APC)

Soybean meal was used as a model to study gut health, because most of the feed in aquaculture is based on soy.

Feeding soybean meal results in:

• Enteritis in the distal intestine

• Reduced feed intake, growth, digestability

• Reduced enzyme activity and bile salt levels

in the intestine

Supplement of Chlorella in feed has beneficial effects on GIT.
