Gynaecology

March saw an increase in fundraising andawareness for Gynaecology as a result of it beingOvarian Cancer Awareness month.

Easter Egg TombolaWhen we advertised for Easter Egg donations, tohold an Easter Tombola to raise money for theGynaecology fund, we anticipated a few generousdonations from our supporters…

What we hadn’t expected was the generosity ofLindsey Billington who brought an amazing 300eggs, which had been donated by her friends andfamily.

Team Gynae Half MarathonTeam Gynae took part in the Liverpool HalfMarathon in order to raise money for the charityCancer Research Fund

Team members Sian Taylor, John Kirwan, RobMacdonald, Penny Robshaw, Elaine Carden,Chloe Logue, Anna Soppitt, Dharani HapangamaDruvi Edirisinghe, and Louise Robertsonconquered the event on March 25th raising astaggering £2,280.

Many supporters were ex patients who leftmessages such as:

“Good luck to the whole team! Thank you forlooking after me in 2016”

“Good luck to you all and thank you for all myfantastic care I receive from you.”

You can still add to ‘Team Gynaes’ total byvisiting:

We were also really grateful to the staff ofBarclaycard, who also donated 50 eggs to theTombola.

With so many eggs the Tombola took place overthree, days instead of the intended one, andraised over a fantastic £800 for the GynaecologyUnit Fund.

Thank you to everyone who donated and took partin the raffle.
