conference, 4 consecutive years (2014 - 2017) target group: individuals with FASD and/or immediate
caregiver, minimum age: 14 138 questionnaires evaluated 09/2014 - 12/2017

What we have:
"SOME ..."
So whilst some facilities provide good services for individuals with FASD, there's room for improvement!

What we need:
• Knowledge about FASD, increased awareness, diagnosis
• Open communication
• Legislation (support and further development of new housingconcepts/types of accommodation suitable for individuals with FASD;modify existing programmes)
• Qualified employees in (residential) care facilities; person-centred approach - recognize and respect individual needs
• Institutions and facilities prepared to welcome people with FASD, to embrace their unique personalities and give them the opportunity to live as they would like to - with as little support as possible but as much as necessary.
