Pankaj Kedia
Pankaj Kedia is Senior Director & Business Lead for the Smart Wearables Segment at
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for leading Qualcomm’s
business efforts including segment strategy, product management, business development,
and customer engagements to establish & grow Qualcomm’s presence across wearables
segments. Under Pankaj’s leadership, Qualcomm has enabled its customers to ship 20+
products in 30+ countries over the last year. Pankaj joined Qualcomm in late 2013 in a
new business development role and helped incubate the wearables segment at the
company.
Previously, Pankaj was the director of business development and innovation at Intel
Corporation where he was responsible for winning, nurturing, and launching mobility
products and technologies. Pankaj launched the Intel Atom processor and led the
company’s early efforts to establish its presence and momentum in the tablet and
smartphone categories. Earlier at Intel, Pankaj played an instrumental role in accelerating
the deployment of Notebook PCs in the industry by de�ning and implementing the
company’s mobile strategies and launching a range of products including Centrino,
Pentium 4 and Pentium III processors. Pankaj joined Intel in 1996 and held a series of
executive advisory, strategy, marketing, planning, ecosystem, and business development
roles across the company. He holds one of the early/de�ning patents around
implementing low power sub-systems in mobile devices.
Prior to Intel, Pankaj was in the management consulting industry for �ve years leading
projects in strategy, management, and information technology. Pankaj is an avid TED
follower and has spoken at multiple TEDx events about the impact of mobile technologies
around the world. He is frequently sought after as a speaker at industry events in the area
of mobile, wearable, wireless, and Internet, and has been extensively quoted in
mainstream publications.
Pankaj holds a Master of Business Administration from Wharton, a Master of Science from
the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science from the Indian Institute of

Jeff Baer
Jeff Baer is Marketing Director for Broadband Communications & Connectivity Group
at Broadcom Corporation. Baer joined Broadcom in 2004, and successfully pioneered the
company’s entry into the rapidly growing embedded WLAN market. While at Broadcom, Mr.
Baer has led business development in the Asia-Paci�c region for the company’s mobility
WLAN and WLAN+Bluetooth combo devices as well as marketing efforts for Embedded RF
Technology in the U.S., driving Broadcom’s push into the “Internet of Things” industry.
Prior to joining Broadcom, Mr. Baer was the founding Representative Director of QNX

Charles Anderson leads the Mobility & Internet of Things practices for IDC Asia/Paci�c and
serves as a strategic advisor to CXO’s as their companies address the opportunities and

Benedetto Vigna
Benedetto Vigna is Executive Vice President, General Manager of the Analog, MEMS &
Sensors Group, and has held this position since September 2011. He is a member of ST’s
Corporate Strategic Committee.
Vigna joined STMicroelectronics in 1995 and launched the Company’s efforts in MEMS.
Under his leadership, ST’s MEMS sensors found early success with large OEMs for
motion-activated user interfaces and ST has become the MEMS top maker. More recently
Vigna has piloted ST’s successful moves into microphones, magnetic sensors, and
touch-screen controllers, as well as environmental sensors, micro-actuators, and low-power
radios. Vigna’s responsibilites also include ST’s Sensors, RF, High-Performance Analog and
Mixed Signal, Interface, Audio for Portable, and General-Purpose Analog products.
Vigna has �led more than 170 patents on micromachining to date, authored numerous
publications, and delivered many speeches at international conferences. He sits on the
industrial board of several EU-funded programs. Vigna’s contributions to the MEMS industry
have been recognized with the Executive of the Year Award by the MEMS Industry Group
(2013), the European SEMI Award (2013), and the IEEE Frederik Philips Award (2015).
Benedetto Vigna was born in Potenza, Italy, in 1969, and graduated with a degree in
Subnuclear Physics from the University of Pisa, Italy.

Reshaping the Cities of the Future through the Sensor-Based IoT
Leopold Beer
Leopold Beer graduated at the University of Stuttgart with a diploma in physics.
As he specialized in semiconductor physics, he started his professional career as an
engineer in the DRAM plant of Siemens Semiconductors in Regensburg /Germany in 1994.
In 1997 he was assigned as head of the Electrical Failure Analysis Group of Siemens
Semiconductors in Porto/Portugal. After the spin-off of In�neon from the Siemens Group,
Leopold held various managerial positions within the In�neon Manufacturing Division.
In 2002 Leopold joined FCI Auto motive as Market Segment Manager. Leopold entered
Bosch Sensortec shortly after its foundation in 2006 as Sales Director and later became
Head of Global Marketing and Product Planning. Since March 2013 he holds the position
of Regional President for Asia Paci�c and is based in Shanghai/China.

Thomas Fann
Thomas Fann is President, Ford Lio Ho Motor Company, effective April 2012.
In his role, Fann has direct responsibility for the operations and business leadership of Ford
Lio Ho Motor Company, Taiwan. He reports to John Lawler, Chairman and CEO, Ford
Greater China.
Before his appointment as president, Fann was Finance Director, Ford Lio Ho, a position he
had held since May 2008. Prior to that, Fann was Vice President for Business at Changan
Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd. He also served as Operations Controller for Finance, at CFMA
in China, as well as Financial Analysis Manager for Mazda Motor Europe in Germany.
Since joining Ford as a Senior Engineer in 1993, Fann has held a variety of management
positions at Ford Lio Ho and at Ford Europe, including serving as Controller, Technical
Operations and ACSG for Finance, Ford Lio Ho 1999-2001.
Fann received a Bachelor's degree from the National Cheng-Kung University, a Master of
Science degree from the National Tsing Hua University and a Doctor of Philosophy from the
University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, all in Mechanical Engineering. Fann and his wife have

Bram Sieben works for Alliander NV in the Amsterdam Smart City program as a Strategist
in Smart Cities. The Amsterdam Smart City program is just over 5 years in existence and
realized over 75 smart city projects. Amsterdam ranks 2nd in the European Smart City
rankings of 2014 and has created a strong presence in the �eld of Smart Cities. The
Amsterdam Smart City program itself is a full public private partnership. It has a dedicated
team of 11 people including one liaison per program partner (seven companies). ASC is
an open innovation platform, realizing new concepts based on collaboration and
creating a smart city. Topics include Mobility, Connectivity, (open) Data and (local)
Energy, Bram is responsible for the Energy program and energy & sharing economy
related projects within Amsterdam Smart City.

Mr. Kretzschmar holds a degree in Applied Physics and has been with TÜV Rheinland
Taiwan for more than 20 years. Since joining TÜV Rheinland, he has dedicated himself to
ensure product safety not only for the regulatory aspects, but also for their performance,
ergonomics, and ef�ciency aspects.
In 2002, he was appointed as the ‘Product Safety Director’, responsible for the �rm’s
laboratory testing services in various disciplines e.g.: electrical, chemical, mechanical,
optical, machinery and EMC. Since 2013 Mr. Kretzschmar has been promoted to TÜV
Rheinland Taiwan Chief Operating Of�cer. He also acts as the ‘Product Certi�cation
Committee Chairman’ of European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan (ECCT) . He recently
focuses on green aspects of international product certi�cations and is responsible for
Standards & Education at the steering committee of ECCT’s Low Carbon Initiative.

Stan Shih
Stan Shih, Acer’s co-founder returned as Chairman in November 2013 with the objective of
leading the company through a third corporate transformation and back to pro�tability.
Having completed the tasks set for the six-month transition, in June 2014, Shih stepped
down from chairmanship but remains as Honorary Chairman of Acer.
Shih dedicated his efforts to promoting public interests after his initial retirement from Acer
at the end of 2004. In recent years, he has been publicly speaking on the Wangdao
ideology in relation to organizational sustainability in modern times, and hopes to engrain
its principles into Acer to reshape the corporate culture. Through this, Shih expects to help
Acer set a new business direction, develop more competitive products, and invest in new
potential businesses of the future.
A social entrepreneur all his life, Shih serves as the chairman of Stans Foundation and iD
SoftCapital Group. In social and public services, he is the chairman of APEC Digital
Opportunity Center 2.0 project’s non-government steering committee, and the chairman
of National Culture and Arts Foundation. He is on the board of director of Taiwan Public
Television Service Foundation.
Shih has received numerous accolades including One of the 10 Most Outstanding Young
Persons in Taiwan (1976), The Most Outstanding Young Engineer in Taiwan (1981), and
ranked �rst place in One of the 10 Most Outstanding Young Persons in the World (1983).
BusinessWeek named Shih as one of the 25 Top Managers of the Year in 1996. Time
featured him in the article “60 years of Asian Heroes” for turning Taiwan into a
PC-manufacturing powerhouse. In recognition of his long-term outstanding contributions,
Shih received the Order of the Brilliant Star with Grand Cordon from the president of Taiwan
in October 2011, and honored as one of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)
Laureates in 2012.

Johan Lodenius
Johan Lodenius leads MediaTek’s corporate marketing operations, and is responsible for
its global marketing strategies and business development.
Johan is a wireless industry veteran, and has been a key contributor to the development
of new market strategies, business models, products and intellectual property over the last
27 years.
Johan started his career in 1988 as a chip design engineer at Ericsson, and then lead the
wireless business development for LSI Logic. In 1996 he became the initial marketing
director, promoted to the �rst senior vice president of marketing and product
management of the Qualcomm’s CDMA Technologies division. During his tenure,
Qualcomm grew its chipset business from a small internal ASIC team to become the
world’s leading wireless semiconductor supplier. Johan later went on to found and
manage several technology companies, including Coresonic — a DSP core company
acquired by MediaTek in 2012.
Johan received a bachelor's degree in electronics and computer technology from the
Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden, and holds a certi�cate in marketing from theIHM
Marketing Institute in Stockholm. He also holds a number of patents in digital wireless
communications technology.

Ian Drew
Ian Drew is Chief Marketing Of�cer and EVP of Business Development. He joined ARM in

François Guibert
François Guibert is Executive Vice President of STMicroelectronics and President of the
Company’s Greater China and South Asia Region. Guibert has led ST’s operations in Asia
Paci�c since 2006; his responsibilities were expanded to include Greater China in 2010.
Guibert joined Thomson Semiconducteurs, a predecessor company to STMicroelectronics,
in 1981, after three years at Texas Instruments. He was appointed Director of Semicustom
Business for Asia Paci�c in 1987 and later became President of ST’s Taiwan operations.
Guibert also held senior positions in Corporate Business Development and Investor
Relations. In 2005, he was promoted to Corporate Vice President, Emerging Markets
Region General Manager.
Guibert serves as Director of ST’s JV with Shenzhen High Tech Industrial Company. He
chairs the EU-ASEAN Business Council, the Board of Advisors for the Singapore
Semiconductor Industry Association, and sits on boards at EuroCham in Singapore and
Alliance Francaise de Singapour. Guibert previously chaired the Board at Veredus
Laboratories and was a board member at the Singapore Economic Development Board.
He was decorated Knight of the National Order of Merit in France in 2009.
Dr. Wang is executive vice president of R&D, ful�ls the leadership role in the NXP R&D
community, and is a member of the management team.He joined NXP as senior vice
president, Technology & External Manufacturing in Operations, in July 2010.Dr. Wang has

Andrew runs the Product and Applications solutions marketing activity in Greater China,
based on Shanghai. Prior to this, he spent four and a half years as NXP Regional
Marketing Director for APAC, based in Tokyo, Japan.Between 1996 and 2006, he was the
GM of Automotive Power MOS and subsequently Standard Power MOS Product Lines in the
UK. Prior to that he worked in the industrial electronics and automotive industries in
instrumentation design, project management, marketing, sales and technical
management, in South Africa, the USA and the UK.

Ravi Varanasi
For the past 20 years, Ravi Varanasi, currently the General Manager of Intel’s Cloud
Security Group has worked in the digital security �eld creating trusted solutions that
enable and protect the enterprise and its users. He was the �rst to build an IPSEC VPN
solution, led the Cloud Security Initiative at Cisco and is now working to deliver tangible
products to enable data center migration to the cloud and to secure the entire
ecosystem.Prior to joining Intel, Ravi was responsible for speci�c Data-at-rest security
solutions that enabled the enterprise movement to cloud based storage. He was also
responsible for cross-company Cloud Security Initiatives, the Cloud Security Working Group
focused on data-in-�ight, data-at-rest security, Federal Security needs and FISMA/NIST
compliance. He was a founding member of the Cisco Pervasive Security solution and
developed the �rst IPSEC VPN solution, the �rst EtherChannel solution (PAgP protocol), and
developed the �rst Application Security appliance for web security.

Diana Kelley
Diana Kelley is the Executive Security Advisor (ESA) for IBM Security. As ESA she leverages
her 25 years of IT security experience to provide advice and guidance to CISOs and
security professionals in brie�ngs. She also works closely with the IBM Security product
management teams to help set strategic vision and direction for the portfolio. She has
contributed to the IBM X-Force report and frequently publishes on the SecurityIntelligence
and SmarterPlanet blogs. She is a current faculty member with IANS Research where she
leads forums and symposiums on topics including Compliance and Risk, Mobile, Security
in the Cloud, DevOps, Security Awareness and Application Security and serves on the
Advisory Board for InfoSec World 2015 and on the IBM Network Science Research Center
Smart Grid Advisory Group.
Prior to joining IBM, she founded her own consulting �rm, SecurityCurve, in 2003 to provide
risk-focused advisory services to enterprises and deliver strategic, competitive knowledge
to security software vendors. She was VP and Service Director for the Security and Risk
Management Strategies (SRMS) service at Burton Group (now Gartner for IT Professionals).
Diana was the Executive Security Advisor for CA’s eTrust Business Unit where she was
responsible for advising customers on strategic security solutions and helped guide CA’s
security business. She was the GM of a development group at Symantec Corp, and the
senior security analyst at Hurwitz Group. In the 90s she served as a Manager creating
secure architectural solutions, in KPMG’s Financial Services Consulting practice. And she
was the global Manager Corporate Systems Administration at Dataware Technologies.
She has experience managing penetration testing, conducting security audits and has
been certi�ed on a number of security products including the original TIS Gauntlet, IBM
RACF Security Administration and HP Virtual Vault.
Diana speaks frequently at major conferences including: Pulse, Innovate, Mobile and
Smart Device Security, InfoSec World, Burton Group Catalyst, RSA, BlackHat and ComDex..
She was Conference Chair for the Mobile and Wireless Security conference for 2003, 2004,
2005 and 2010-2013 and Chaired the Identity Management Conferences in 2005 and
2006 and the Virtualization Summit in 2006. She has authored numerous articles and
research documents, and co-authored the book Cryptographic Libraries for Developers.

Marc Hamilton
At NVIDIA, the Visual Computing Company, Marc leads the worldwide Solutions
Architecture and Engineering team, responsible for working with NVIDIA’s customers and
partners to deliver the world’s best end to end solutions for professional visualization and
design, high performance computing, and big data analytics.
Prior to NVIDIA, Marc worked in the Hyperscale Business Unit within HP’s Enterprise Group
where he led the HPC team for the Americas region.
Marc spent 16 years at Sun Microsystems in HPC and other sales and marketing executive
management roles.
Marc also worked at TRW developing HPC applications for the US aerospace and defense
industry. He has published a number of technical articles and is the author of the book,
“Software Development, Building Reliable Systems”. Marc holds a BS degree in Math and
Computer Science from UCLA, an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from USC, and is a
graduate of the UCLA Executive Management program.

As the Founder of Nok Nok Labs and FIDO visionary, Ramesh Kesanupalli brings to the
company 25+ years of public and private sector IT security experience. Mr. Kesanupalli is
responsible for the company's vision and broad industry relationships globally. As a board
member and Vice-President of the FIDO Alliance (http://www.�doalliance.org/), he
provides leadership to an industry consortium where Nok Nok Labs is a founding member.
Mr. Kesanupalli previously served as the Chief Technology Of�cer of Validity Sensors where
he was responsible for software direction, strategy, alliances and strategic business
development, which was acquired by Synaptics,. He has also held senior management
roles at Phoenix Technologies, Object Connect, Telsima, Inc. (formerly Kinera) and Network
24, which was acquired by Akamai. Mr. Kesanupalli holds patents in wireless middle tier
software systems and is the author of several authentication patents including the patents,
which are the base patents for FIDO. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics
