2019 PROSPECTUS
Livingstone Arts Academy is a place where all students of Livingstone Christian College are invited to take
extra‐curricular lessons in school hours, on campus, with qualified private tutors authorised by the college.
We offer lessons in Dance, Drama & Speech, Art, Piano, Guitar, Singing, Drums and in partnership with the
college, we also coordinate the Strings and Wind programs offered by the school.
The Arts Academy has been running in the school since 2012, and in 2018, the Academy moved into the old
Admin Building, as the space to conduct the lessons. Livingstone Arts Academy also uses the school Dance
Studio and Drama Studio for many lessons.
Livingstone Arts Academy upholds the school values and offers another space where every child flourishes.
Our motto “Inspiring Excellence; Creating Culture”. Livingstone Arts Academy promises to be a place where
students are encouraged at every opportunity to aspire to reach their full creative potential in a safe,
nurturing, inspirational and God‐honouring environment.
We aim to provide regular concerts and performance opportunities where students can increase their
performance skills. Music and Drama & Speech students who reach a higher level are prepared for Music
exams through either the AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) or Trinity College of London. All
Dance (Ballet) students from Year 1 are prepared for and can take part in ATOD (Australian Teachers of
Dance) ballet exams.
In 2019 we are focusing on smaller lesson groups to achieve higher outcomes as well as creating more
ensemble groups to improve our students’ performance skills in their chosen area. We are looking forward
to these groups performing throughout the year at LCC events and assemblies.
Fees are payable either upfront or on a monthly payment plan, which will be separate from your school fees.
Please see following pages for details of the lessons we offer at Livingstone Arts Academy.
Blessings,
Mrs Rochelle Lawson
LAA Coordinator

being. Dance reinforces formal learning, creativity and numeracy skills. Dance builds confidence, reduces stress and
