The Love Learning Languages course outlines provide you withinformation about everything you will cover in an 8-week period.Use the links below to view the relevant French course outlineand materials for your level.

Course materials are stored for easy access in Google Classroom,and are organized by weeks. You will work independently on theweek’s lesson, and will meet up with Jennifer and others in yourclass once a week for 40 minutes on Zoom. During this time, youwill work through your set(s) of practice cards with the group,and Jennifer will answer any questions that come up. This willbe your chance to practice and master lessons weekly.

● Registration takes place on meetup.com. Scroll to the end ofthe course description and click on the red button that says“attend”. You will be directed to the payment page. You donot need to have a PayPal account, and you can use anycredit or debit card. Once you have made your payment,you will not be redirected to meetup.com. How do I access course materials?

● All course materials will be stored in a Google Classroom. Alink to join your Google Classroom will be emailed to youone week prior to our first Zoom meeting. If you have anemail preference that is di�erent to the one that you useduring the payment process, please send Jennifer an email:[email protected]

● Once you have accepted the invitation to your GoogleClassroom, you will be directed to the “stream” page. Thisis where announcements are made, and it’s a place whereyou can communicate with other students in your class.

● In your Google Classroom, you will need to click on“classwork” at the top of the page to view your assignmentsand to access all course materials.

How long will I have access to course materials?

● You will have permanent access to all course materials sothat you can always go back and review lessons and retakequizzes.

What if I miss a Zoom session (even if it’s the first one)?

● Of course, it’s best for you if you can manage to attend ourweekly sessions, but if you have to miss one or even several,that’s ok. Try to stay on top of the weekly classwork, andyou’ll be ready to pop in on Zoom when it fits yourschedule.

Are the Zoom sessions mandatory, or can I complete thecourse on my own?

● You definitely have the option of completing the course onyour own. All courses are designed for self-study. TheZoom sessions with Jennifer and the group aresupplementary, meant to give you a chance to practice, bepart of a group, make friends, and ask clarifying questions.


What can I expect from our Zoom sessions?

● 40 minute Zoom sessions happen once a week. Jennifer willbe present along with other members of your class. In eachweek’s course materials you will have “practice cards”.Have these cards available and ready during Zoom sessions,because we will work through them together. You do notneed to print them out unless you want to. Everyone willtake turns with the cards. Jennifer will point out importantgrammar tips and will help with pronunciation. Our Zoomsessions are stress free and lots of fun! You will enjoymeeting people from around the world in a relaxedenvironment.

What is the profile of students taking LLL courses?

● LLL courses are designed for adults of all ages and allnationalities. Speaking English is necessary as all or mostof the grammar lessons are given in English.

How many people will be in my class?● The maximum class size is 15, though many times the

classes are smaller. Sometimes 15 people sign up, but someprefer to self-study and not attend the Zoom sessions fromtime to time for various reasons including scheduling, timezones, other responsibilities, illness, etc.


How much homework is typically involved?

● All LLL courses include many resources to help you practiceand master the material in each week’s lesson. Watchingthe videos and/or listening to the audio lessons while takingnotes on the lesson guides is the minimum. By doing so,you will be able to participate in the Zoom lessons. You canalways go back to the rest of the work and complete it at alater time as a review.

Do you o�er refunds for cancellations?

● No refunds are allowed once you have received thecoursework for the first week’s lesson in your GoogleClassroom. You will receive the first week’s coursework nolater than one week prior to your first Zoom session.

● Due to the nature of the courses, we cannot, in any event,pro-rate classes or transfer unused class time to anothercourse.
