LL.M. Program Specifics
§ Please register for both Fall 2016 and Winter 2017 courses and bring us a Minerva Course Selec,on form.
§ Summer 2017 registra,on will open in March 2017; visit the Graduate and Postdoctoral Office website for up-‐to-‐date informa,on.
§ Full-‐,me status requires a minimum of 12 credits per term.
§ All LL.M. programs are composed of a total of 45 credits.

Residency Requirements
§ All LL.M. programs require three full-‐,me terms of residence (Fall, Winter, and Summer).
§ You must reside in Montreal during this period.
§ Full-‐,me tui,on and fees are charged for each of the three full-‐,me terms.
§ Register for addi,onal sessions if the thesis or research project (rare) is not completed within three terms; there are fees involved (Addi,onal Session, Non-‐Thesis Extension, Thesis Evalua,on).
Important All students must register and pay fees for the academic year up to and including the term of
gradua,on.

Assignment of supervisors Supervisors are assigned by the Associate Dean; they are chosen based on: § Student’s background and interests § Professor’s mentoring and guidance capaci,es with respect to the par,cular student
(1) Students submit an abstract through Legal Research Methodology to facilitate the supervisor selec,on process.
(2) Students are asked not to approach professors or change supervisors without obtaining prior consent from the Associate Dean.

Important
All LL.M. students must complete a minimum of 3 full-‐,me terms (e.g. Fall, Winter and Summer) and 45 credits in total in order to sa,sfy the residency and program requirements.
In calcula,ng “annual” fees for a year of three terms, LL.M. students will need to adjust the fees listed on the Student Accounts website to include an addi3onal 15 credits/full-‐3me
residency term.
GREAT Awards Graduate Research Enhancement and Travel Awards support research-‐related travel to present at conferences.
