LMI system DS 60 Electronic Control Systems:Load Moment Indicators Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH Product description Type DS 60 Description Load Moment Indicator for Telehandlers (Compact system) Product description The DS 60 load moment indicator system was designed especially for the use in telehandlers. The complete control and display unit is built into a housing the size of a car radio, which can be inserted into the machines dashboard. All operating data can be displayed on the double line dot matrix display. CAN bus technology is used throughout the system, the advantages of which can be found not only in the central unit, but in the sensor technology as well. In comparison to conventional analogue technology, this technology provides added system diagnostic possibilities which lead to shorter commissioning and service times. A complete system consists of three components: The central unit, a length and angle sensor plus a four fold pressure transducer. Each system component is connected with each other via the CAN bus through plug connectors. A PC with a windows tool is used to configure the DS 60 system. Using the configuration program, over 40 different extensions and up to 1000 load charts can be entered and stored in the system. The program is easy to use. Calibration is performed by using the console keys and menu guidance on the display and without the need of additional tools. Access to the system software is protected by a pin code.
