  • lnternational MeetingSurgical endoscopy and minimally-invasive surgery: state of the art

    Florence 4th-6th June 2015

As coordinator of the University Endoscopy Unit of Florence University Hospital (AOUC) and President of the International Board of ISSE (Italian Society for Surgical Endoscopy) I’m delighted to organize this meeting of surgical endoscopy and minimally-invasive surgery that will take place in Florence from June 4th to June 6th 2015. It’s the first time that Florence hosts such an important meeting focused on these topics. The program of high scientific level is enriched by a worldwide famous international faculty. The meeting has the support of the University of Florence, Florence University Hospital (AOUC) and the Region Tuscany. Each session will be moderate by Italian experts in surgical endoscopy and minimally-invasive surgery (laparoscopic and robotic). This event is also important because it will highlight the latest developments in surgical endoscopy and minimally-invasive surgery, new approaches that in many cases replaced the traditional ones and that have benefits for the patients, reduce the hospital stay and costs. These are young techniques that represent the future of surgery, for this reason the meeting is particularly addressed to young specialists and residents in general surgery, gastrointestinal surgery and gastroenterology to improve their knowledges on these topics. The event is supported by the ISSE International Board.
