Normally all hatchcovers are required to behose tested. However, equivalent testingmethods may be accepted, e.g.
Air test on combination carriers, or
Ultrasonic test by special equipment.
Recommendation is to be given by surveyor forhatches not tested. Guidance: Nozzlediameter: M inimum 12mm. W ater pressure:Sufficient for a free height of water with streamdirected upwards of m in. 10m . Distance:Max. 1.5m .
