Local Actions for a Global Challenge
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs leads this component. The process will mainly use the UN System to negotiate the Ministerial Declaration with governments.
The Ministerial Declaration will include a political message related to the relevant water issues and also the regional papers as attachments.
There will be a multistakeholder dialogue with thematic round tables.

There will be 12 000 m2 for the exposition with capacity for almost 625 stands. Having everybody in one venue will increase the opportunities to interact with all the stakeholders.

Any organization that will make all the necessary arrangements to organize a topic session. Sessions have to adhere to the following criteria:

•They should include an expert panel
•They should include a presentation of local actions to represent the specific focus of their theme.
•They should be multistakeholder platforms for open debate on the thematic content of the Forum.
•Subjects to be presented and/or discussed come within the framework themes

3. Local Workshops and Regional Meetings
Local workshops are deliberative arenas where different types of local stakeholders interact and hold dialogue, sharing knowledge regarding the barriers and opportunities faced up to deal with local water issues.
Regional Meetings are either stand-alone events specifically organized to prepare for the Forum or sessions organized during already scheduled events in the region, specifically devoted to debating the Forum’s thematic content.
It´s necessary to register them in the Forum´s website to take into account as a preparatory meetings.
