NCLB Performance Goals1. All students will reach high standards, at a minimum

attaining proficiency or better in reading and mathematics, 2013-2014.

2. All limited-English-proficient students will become proficient in English and reach high academic standards, at a minimum attaining proficiency or better in reading/language arts and mathematics.

3. By 2013-2014, all students will be taught by highly qualified teachers.

4. All students will be educated in learning environments that are safe, drug-free, and conducive to learning.

O Align the English Language Development instruction and curriculum with English Language Development Standards

Performance Goal #2B O By June 2013, the English language proficiency

level of English learners who have received language instruction fewer than 5 years will increase from 33.8% to 35% ,as measured by the CELDT.

O By June 2013, the English language proficiency level of English learners in language instruction for 5 or more years will increase from 32.3% to 45.1%, as measured by the CELDT.
