To ensure that each member of the group was able to havean input in the location decision we decided the best form ofgathering ideas would be to create a brainstorm with ideasgiven from each member of the group.

After producing the brainstorm we were able to select thetop three from the list, these were:

An Abandoned School A House The Park

After discussion between the group and consultation withour teacher the location we decided on was an old house. Wefelt that this would best suit our genre and would be easilyaccessible for us as a group.

As we have now made our decision to shoot in a house thequestion was where. As our genre was a horror/thriller weknew that we wanted the house to have a sense of mysterybehind it. The decision was then made that we would use mynans house as all members of the group had been therebefore and agreed that it would be appropriate for ourgenre. This Victorian styled house is made up of thirteenrooms in total. It is located on a main road which allowed usto gain easy access for filming.

The next stage was to go to our chosen location and capturesome location shots as part of our planning and research. Wealso had the task of deciding which rooms we would be usingwithin the house, to shoot.
