These stairs are a good location for the beginning of the trailer when the girls enter the woods because when they come down, their isolation and solitude is emphasized by the lack of anything behind them – all the audience can see is trees and sky. Also, it takes the words of the rhyme quite literally when it says ‘if you go down to the woods today’ which helps to create links between the trailer and the rhyme.

This is a good location for the trailer because it is a small wooded area that looks like an ideal place for a picnic so it makes sense for the characters to stop here and there is no sign of anything other than trees. Also there are a lot of big trees for the bad characters (‘demon’/‘witch’/‘beast’) to hide behind and the trees cast long, dark shadows on the ground that could also be used to hide people and their shadows.

This is a good location because the triangle shape made out of the branches provides a good place for a picnic because it is secluded and the branches provide good benches. Also all of the bushes and branches in the background are good places for people to hide in and not be seen. This area also seems very isolated and goes along with the part in the ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ where it says “You’d better not go alone.” because the three characters will be on their own, far away from any other people.

This tree is the ‘immortal tomb’ of the witch from the story who sacrificed the girls from the village under it for her rituals. It is this tree that Lizzie puts her blood on and begins the whole ritual again and later Roxie is found unconscious under near a pentagram drawn into the floor.

This is different location to the previous scenes but it looks similar and there are still a lot of trees for the characters to run through. Also, in the far right of this picture a big tree is visible which is a good hiding place for the ‘bad’ character and is a good place for one of the other characters to get dragged behind.

This location is only used once in the trailer and it is when Roxie has been separated from the others and is attempting to hide from whatever was chasing them, but she gets found and dragged backwards. She is later found at the base of the ‘cursed’ tree in the pentagram, unconscious.
