LOG BOOK OR JOURNALIn education (academia), a written "reflection," is a personal response to an experience, a reading, or a specific question. What is wanted is that you demonstrate you understand whatever issue is at hand and that you can respond to it in writing by connecting it to your own observation, previous experience, or recent learning.The purpose of a reflective journal is that you should be the main one to benefit from it. Writing down your thoughts helps to clarify them in your own mind. So why are you given a mark for it? Two reasons: (a) to encourage you to get around to writing it, and (b) so the instructor can see any problems that you're having, and help to solve them.Suggested format for a reflective journalThe following questions will give you some ideas of the type of questions that you can usefully ask yourself to write your reflective journal/ log book.1.
