Matrix Instructions For Students

Logging in to Matrix To log in to the BARBRI Matrix Page, go to https://barbri.matrixlms.com.

Once you are on the website, please click “Log in” in the upper right-hand corner.

Enter the User id and Password provided to you in the Matrix enrollment email. Then click the “Log in” button.

If you lost your login credentials, or are otherwise having login issues, click “Forgot password?”

Enter your email address. Click “Send password instructions.” You will then receive an email with your login crententials.

Please Note: Your registration email address is the email address we have on file for you. If you need help with the email address used for your Matrix account, please email us at IPLearningTeam@barbri.com.

When logging in to Matrix for the first time, you may be asked to change your password from the one provided to you. Create a new password and re-enter it to confirm. Then click the “Save” button.

Course and Modules Once you are logged in to Matrix, your default landing page is the Dashboard. Access your school’s Lawyering Fundamentals course by clicking on it.

You’ll then be taken to your course’s main menu, the Modules page. This will display the assignments you need to complete before and during class each day, as well as your progress. Please refer to your syllabus for more information on assignment due dates. To see the complete list of currently available assignments in the course, click the “Show sections” button. Please note: Assignments and handouts will become accessible automatically as the course progresses. Be sure to log in frequently during the course to check for assignments that have opened and complete them.

Assignments Some assignments will require you to answer quiz or survey questions online; other assignments (like Case Briefs and Essays) will have you upload document files. To see the details of a particular assignment, click on its name and read its instructions. Quizzes and surveys are self-explanatory: simply click on the “Take survey” or “Take quiz” button and work through the questions.

Dropboxes and Essays Dropbox and Essay assignments (designated by the folder or pencil icon, respectively) require you to upload your submission in the form of an attached Word document.

To upload your submission, first access the assignment by clicking on its name; then click the “Prepare answer” below the assignment’s instructions; and then click the “Add attachment” button. Follow the prompts to select your submission from your computer’s filesystem and upload it. Please be sure to save your attachments as a Word documents. (Please note: if you’re using Apple Pages to write a submission, you should select the “Export To… Word Document” from the File menu.)
