Principles of Planning:

A one day course which introduces delegates to the basic principles of planning. The

course aims to demonstrate the fundamental elements required to develop a project

schedule: how to use a schedule to manage and predict project duration; how to

use a schedule to uncover and address project risks; and ultimately using a schedule

to monitor and control your project.

The course is suitable for individuals with little or no previous planning experience and

for non-specialists who need to gain a broader understanding of how plans are

developed, their importance in identifying and implementing the most effective and

efficient ways to achieve your project deliverables.

Risk Management:

Identifying and mitigating risk is essential to the success of your project. This one day

course introduces delegates to techniques which will enable them to identify,

evaluate and control project risks. By the end of this course delegates will be able to:

describe a project risk management process; design and complete a risk

management plan; perform a basic risk assessment; plan appropriate responses to

risks; and monitor the risk management plan.

Earned Value Management (EVM):

LogiKal Projects offers courses in ‘The Principles of EVM’; ‘The Practical Application of

EVM’; and a third, longer course which combines both courses turning EVM novices

into confident practitioners. Whilst many professionals have an awareness of, or may

even have used EVM on some level, experience has taught us that it is rarely applied

to its full potential. Variations on the full course can be tailored to suit organisational

needs whether that is affording stakeholders a basic conceptual understanding of

EVM or taking current EVM practitioners to the next level. LogiKal believe success

Cobra is an Earned Value Management software system, designed to be

compatible with P6, OpenPlan, Excel, SAP, MS Project and other major planning

software. Cobra allows for quick and easy manipulation of project information

drawing on all resources to produce tailored reports showing all available information

clearly and easily. LogiKal has drawn on the experiences and expertise of all of our

Cobra users to build a course that ensures you understand how Cobra actually works

and not just what to click.

Primavera P6 Training:

The LogiKal P6 courses draw on real-life scenarios that require attendees to learn

through practical application, walking away confident in their ability to implement

what they have learnt to their own schedules. In addition to this our P6 courses are

supported by Paul Harris’ ‘Project Planning and Control Using Primavera P6’

handbook affording trainees a familiar and practical reference guide when back in

the workplace. These courses are offered at a Fundamental level or for Advanced

users.

RIB CSuite and iTWO training:

RIB’s CSuite product is a multi-user capital cost estimating and contract

management tool. It allows estimators to generate, quantify, estimate and price Bills

of Quantities (BoQs). It allows planners to link the BoQs to an activity schedule to

cost/price and resource load the schedule. It allows contract managers to collate

and evaluate priced BoQ returns from suppliers, and to manage their subcontracts,

including change management, re-measurement and payment evaluation.

iTWO has a newer user interface and extends functionality to generating either

completely or in part, the BoQ from a 3D model.
