st r u ct u r e Our vision for 250 City Road has always been one of transformation - regenerating an existing location to fulfil its true potential. To do this, Berkeley has teamed up with world-renowned architects Foster + Partners to create an entirely new destination for London. By working together from the outset, as a collective, we have been able to create something truly special and make the vision a reality.

Foster + Partners' design for 250 City Road is for a new quarter that incorporates the mix of uses you would expect in any thriving community. Unique places to live and work combine effortlessly through well considered landscape with new retail premises, while the two elegant residential towers fit perfectly into the architectural surroundings.

Ground level shops, cafés and new pedestrian paths anchor the development within its surroundings, creating new routes between Islington and the City and connecting the community with local transport links.

The apartments above are designed from the ‘inside-out' to ensure privacy while maximising daylight and the extensive views across the Capital.

250 City Road successfully marries intricate low rise architecture, which carefully responds to the streetscape and urban realm, with strong high rise towers responding to the wider city context. new dimension at 250 City Road. A central plaza surrounds verdant parkland that is potted with mature trees, water features and wildflower beds. Bustling cafés and restaurants then open out onto the public walkway that rings this ecologically diverse scenery.

At either end, two public art installations will draw the eye and capture the attention of those passing by. Places to rest seem to spring up within this undulating landscape, encouraging people to step away from the street and enjoy all that the parkland has to offer.

The Central Plaza is Wi-Fi enabled.

Enter into the garden square and discover smaller, more intimate spaces that reference the linear geometry of the north-south route from the main public park. The neighbouring courtyard gives on to a woodland copse with bordered pathways that help to extend the sense of space within each home.
