Monday 25th June, 2018Dear Parent/Carer,

This term our student leadership Food Team is taking part in the Whole Foods Schools To Market project. This project is designed to teach us about how to take a product from farm to table – it will take us through the process of how to make chutney, how to package and market it and will culminate in us selling our chutney at the Whole Foods store in Fulham in July. This project links into our World Ready learning programme.

To support their leadership role in the school with our Food Team, your child has been selected to take part in the fruit and vegetable picking trip at the Crockford Bridge Farm supermarket in Surrey on Wednesday 27th June where they will pick the ingredients for our chutney.

They will leave school at 9.30am with Mrs Williams, travel to the farm by hired coach and return to school in time for the end of the school day. Please can you ensure that your child comes to school with a sun hat, sunscreen and plenty of water. We will have a picnic at the farm and the school will provide a packed lunch for all the students who need one.

Please could you email me to give permission for your child to attend this fabulous trip.

Greenside Primary School Y6 Easter Sessions 2018
