Coalition gains to date:
24
●Got a seat at the table
●Rebuild in old footprint
●Maintained the 50ft setback vs going to 75ft
●Maintenance and repair can go forward without a Substantial Development Permit
KEY ISSUES
● Legally Constructed structures be labeled “Conforming”
● Reconstruction and Remodel in the existing footprint be added as an exemption from SDP
● Consider both positive and negative impacts of new Development
25
KEY ISSUES
● Not use Marine requirements for Fresh Water Docks
● Set the exemption retail value for repair/replacement of existing fresh water dock at $20,000 vs $10,000.
26
KEY ISSUES Continued
●Establish a list of maintenance, repair projects that can be done in the buffer under the exemption
●Language be added to protect existing uses
●Mitigation Banking to encourage voluntary improvements
27
KEY ISSUES Continued
●Be less restrictive on bulkheads by Recognizing the significant damage 4 ft waves have on the shoreline
●Allow decks in the buffer
●Allow landward development in the buffer behind the legally constructed structure
