Look what’s happening in the Art Room
Our Foundation students are having lots of fun creating a response to the Little Red
Riding Hood story. The Juniors have enjoyed print making and continuing with their art
work about Noah’s Ark.
Our Middle students have finished their bird’s eye view painting and are now making a
winter flowers artwork and our Senior students have made imaginative vessels from clay
and are now starting their stitching project.
Weekly Maths Problem
You can visit our school website www.rivergumps.vic.edu.au for further information about our school vision and how we showcase our students owning their learning.
Describe the shapes
used to make this
flower. Think of how
many of each shape
are used. Students in
years 3-6 think about
the shapes in
fractions, ratios and
percentages.
What’s happening at School? 2019 School Review
In 2019, we are in a year of review. Our review is scheduled for Term
4 and will look at our data from 2016 to 2019 and where we have
achieved our goals. Furthermore this will assist us to create goals and
benchmarks for student achievement at River Gum for the next 4
years and form part of our Strategic Plan.
Throughout the year, staff and school council have assisted in
preparing River Gum Primary School for our review to ensure that
our priorities and focus on our key areas have the greatest impact on
school improvement. Our self evaluation will be completed by the
end of Term 3 ready for the 3 day review which will take place in
Term 4.
We will continue to engage with School Council, parents and
students so that our self evaluation reflects how we have done the
work in the past and what might we do different or focus on in the
future.
