Offering (60 Seconds)

Purpose: Recap teaching in one sentence. Explain offering and pray over it while it’s collected. Sample Script: Let’s give it up one more time for (speaker name)! Age is just a number, and you’re never too young to set an example. Speaking of that, one great way you guys set an example is through your generosity. I see so many of you who are giving every week, and it inspires me! But, why do we give? See, giving isn’t really about the money. It’s about your heart. When we give, we become more like Jesus, and God uses our giving to help more people come to know Him. Let’s pray for our offering. God, thank You for giving us Jesus as the best example to learn from. Help us become the people You’ve created us to be and set an example for all believers. We pray that You would help us be more generous and that You would use this offering to help more people enter Your family. In Jesus’ name, amen.

My name is ______, and I’ll be your emcee. Let’s get going by getting into our groups to talk about the icebreaker question.

Purpose: Celebrate salvations, announce upcoming

events, share series Bible Plan, and transition to activity. Sample Script: If you made a decision to follow Jesus, we are so excited for you! Make sure to tell your small group leader so that they can celebrate with you and tell your family. Now, listen up for some announcements!

o Our YouVersion Bible Plan this week is called How to Grow Up. Did you know you can do it together with your family, friends, or Loop group using Plans with Friends? You can! Ask your small group leader for more about that.

o 6th graders, if you’re having fun in Loop, you’ve got to check out Switch on Wednesday nights at 6:30. It’s super fun! Also, ask your small group leader about Swerve.

Now, it’s time for the best part of Loop—your small group time! We’ll get things going with a fun activity—let’s see how ready you are to put what we learned about being leaders into action!

Purpose: Transition students from the icebreaker to worship. Sample Script: Okay, Loop! Sounds like you guys are already off to a great start with your Loop groups, which is great, because our goal at Loop is to have fun! To help us all do that, there are only three rules: Respect your leaders, respect others, and respect the room. Now, get ready to bust out your best praise voice!

Transition to Message (30 Seconds)

Purpose: Transition students from worship to teaching video. Sample Script: I love getting to worship with you guys every single week here at Loop! And even better, God loves it when we come together to give Him praise. Now, we have a special treat this week. We get to hear from the one and only (insert your Live Speaker’s name). They have an awesome message ready for us, so give them your full attention, and give it up for (speaker name)!


Purpose: Recap teaching video lesson in one sentence. Explain offering and pray over it while it’s collected. Sample Script: That was awesome! It’s time for us to grow up—but not too fast. Now, let’s shift gears to our tithes and offerings. Tithe is an older word that means “tenth.” We take the first 10 percent of money we make—maybe through an allowance, chores, or birthday money—and give it back to God through the local church so that more people can hear about Jesus. Offerings are giving anything more than that. Giving is a very mature thing to do because it puts others first, and it requires that we manage our money wisely. But giving isn’t about the money. It’s about our hearts. When we give, we show God we trust Him and that He matters more than our money. Let’s pray for our giving. God, thank You for teaching us and helping us grow up. We also pray You would bless this offering and use it to help more people find out about Jesus. In Jesus’ name, amen.
