The following log features extracts from the Ship's Official Log Book, with the entries recordedby the Officer of the Watch on the Navigational Bridge.

Seattle — Saturday, July 21, 2012Our local pilot boarded and when he arrived on the bridgeour passage plan for departure was discussed and agreed.At 15:52 we struck our final gangway and soon after begansingling up our mooring lines forward and aft. At 16:05 withall our lines confirmed on board we began moving astern toclear out the berth. Seven minutes later our bow was clear of

the breakwater and we commenced swinging the ship bowto port. With the swing complete we began following variouscourses out of the port of Seattle and into the Pudget SoundTraffic before passing out through Admiralty Inlet and intoJuan de Fuca Strait. Once clear of the Straight wedisembarked our pilot at 20:02. Golden Princess thencontinued westbound for the remainder of the evening in theJuan De Fuca Strait.

At Sea — Sunday, July 22, 2012During the night we continued up the Juan De Fuca Straitpassing out of American waters and into Canadiancontrolled waters. We continued north westerly parallelingthe coast of Vancouver Island. During the morning and in theafternoon we cleared of Vancouver Island and begancrossing Queen Charlotte Sound.

Golden Princess passed abeam of Cape St. James andcontinued northwest wards paralleling the Queen CharlotteIsland on our Starboard side. Early in the evening we passedclear of the Queen Charlotte Island and commenced

crossing the Dixon Entrance. We remained on our northerlycourse for the remainder of the day on our first port of callJuneau.

Juneau — Monday, July 23, 201202:00 hrs - Ship's clocks were set back 1 Hour to GreenwichMean Time -8.

During the night Golden Princess continued followingvarious northerly tracks towards Juneau. At 02:12 the shipentered back into American controlled waters of Alaska

passing into Chatham Strait. At 05:00 we began reducingour RPM in preparation for our pilot embarkation. At 05:09we opened the shell door on the starboard side of thevessel and rigged the pilot ladder. With the pilot safely onboard we increased the speed again. At 10:30 with all theship pre-arrival checks complete and full station mannedforward and aft we made our final approaches to our berth.On entering Juneau we made a turn to starboard and camealongside our berth in Southeast of Juneau.

Once we had all our passengers back on board we let goour line at 22:00 and thrusted off the berth moving astern.Once we cleared the berth we then began moving aheadretracing our arrival tracks back out through the GastineauChannel. On clearing the passage Golden Princess made aturn to starboard around Icy Point re-entering StephensPassage. Throughout the remainder of the night wecontinued under guidance of our local pilots, northwardsthrough the Lynn Channel on our way to Skagway.

Skagway — Tuesday, July 24, 2012During the night Golden Princess followed her track alongthe Lynn Canal passing east of Poundstone Rock at 01:05,and abeam of Eldered Rock at 03:07. At 04:23 the vesselpassed Taiya Point at a distance of 0.6 nautical miles onport side and entered into the Taiya Inlet which finally led usinto Skagway.

We sent our first line ashore at 05:38 and secured the shipto her final tie up at 05:45. Once securely alongside weproceeded to rig gangways on deck 7 and 6 due to low tide.Passenger disembarkation commenced soon thereafter.

Once all our passengers had returned and all our pre-departure safety checks had been completed we begansingling up our lines at 20:00. Soon later, at 20:04 all lineswere confirmed on board forward and aft and we beganmoving ahead to clear our berth, setting courses towardsGlacier Bay.

Glacier Bay — Wednesday, July 25, 2012During the night we retraced out tracks back down the LynnCanal. At 02:49 Golden Princess passed abeam PointCouverden and alters her course to starboard side enteringin Icy strait. After navigating through this tight section at05:27 we entered in inside the Glacier Bay National Park. At05:55 4 rangers came on board at Barlett Cove and withthem we began our scenic cruise in Glacier Bay.

At 09:00 Golden Princess did her final approach to MargerieGlacier. Fifty minutes later we start to move ahead headingtowards John Hopkins and Lamplugh glacier.

At 11:50 the Captain stopped the ship in front of JohnHopkins glacier and turns the Bow to Port. Ten minutes laterwe start to move ahead sailing towards Barlett Cove whereat 14:26 all Rangers disembarked.

At 14:34 the Golden Princess was out of Glacier Bay nationalpark. During the evening we sailed through Chatham Straitand at 22:40 we passed abeam of Cape Decision, after thatthe course was set through narrows towards our next port ofcall: Ketchikan.

Ketchikan — Thursday, July 26, 2012After the Engine Control Room had reduced speed wepassed Snow Passage at 01:20. Snow Passage lies betweenZarembo Island and Bushy Island and leads us from theSummer Strait into the Clarence Strait. Following ClarenceStrait we set various south-easterly courses towards theentrance of Tongass Narrows; we continued for Ketchikanpassing Guard Island on our Starboard side. Navigatingsouthward towards our berth we passed Ketchikan'sDrydock on our port side, and soon after, at 05:10, we hadfull station manned forward and aft. Once past the airportwe made a turn to port and proceeded on our approachtrack towards our berth in Ketchikan. The Ship pre -arrivalchecks were completed and the ship's control taken on portwing at 05:53. We were alongside with our gangways riggedand ready for passenger use at 06:20.

At 12:28 with all passengers and crew on board we begansingling up our mooring lines. At 12:30 with all lines goneforward and aft we began thrusting off the berth and movingastern. We rigged the pilot ladder on the port side of thevessel at 13:34, and with the local pilots disembarked webegan increasing our RPM. Golden Princess entered inCanadian Waters at 15:15 and set a southerly course to enterthe Hecate Strait. We continued following various southerlycourses throughout the evening and into the night on ourway to Victoria.

Victoria — Friday, July 27, 2012

02:00 hrs - Ship's clocks were set forward 1 hour toGreenwich Mean Time -7.

During the night Golden Princess continued southboundpassing through the Hecate Strait and into Queen CharlotteSound. Transiting Queen Charlotte Sound we once againentered the Pacific Ocean and continued south parallelingthe west coast of Vancouver Island. Throughout the morningwe remained on a south-easterly course heading forVictoria.

'Later in the Afternoon we entered back in American Water

and continued our journey with the guidance of SeattleTraffic Control Center, down the Juan the Fuca Strait. All

traffic movements in the strait are governed by a Traffic

Separation Scheme that controls all vessels entering andleaving Juan De Fuca. Vessels are required to report to theTraffic Control Center giving relevant information and in turnthe Control Center updates vessels with location andmovements of other ship around them. Once at the easterlyend of the strait we made an alternation of course

northwards and approached Victoria. Shortly after passingback into Canadian territorial waters we embarked our local

pilot who helped guide the ship to her berth in VictoriaHarbour. On passing the breakwater of the harbour thecaptain swung the ship around using the thrusters andmoved astern, coming alongside the berth. Once we had allour passenger back on board we let go our lines at 23:59and moved ahead out of our berth. Upon clearing the berthwe then made a turn to port passing the breakwater on ourport side. After disembarking our local pilot we crossedback into America waters and headed south holding of PortAngeles, where we then boarded yet another pilot whoguided us down the Traffic Separation Scheme of PudgetSound towards Seattle.

Seattle — Saturday, July 28, 2012

*On exiting the Pudget Sound Traffic Separation Scheme weproceeded towards our berth in Seattle. With assistancefrom our local pilot we shall manoeuvre the ship to aposition just off the berth and then using the thrusters, bringher alongside. Once alongside we can send our lines ashoreand make the ship fast to the quay. We shall be alongsideour berth by 07:00 and passenger disembarkation cancommence soon afterwards. We hope you have enjoyedyour cruise with us on board the Golden princess and wehope to see you again in the near future.
