Lori was really upset. According to Freud she was upset because she was going through the oral stage of his psycho sexual development. In this stage young ones enjoy sucking, biting, and chewing, which Lori couldnt do without her passy. So she cried, and cried, and cried. It was getting late so mommy tried to wait for Lori to tire herself out, but that didnt happen. Finally, mommy couldnt take it anymore so she went to the neighbors house to ask to borrow one. The nice neighbors lent mommy a passy. Soon afterwards Lori was asleep. THE END

2The Independent Two Year Old Down in the subburbs of Ashburn, Virginia a two year old, Lori, is quickly becoming independent. She is capable of putting on sun screen (as seen in the picture), getting a snack, speaking her mind, running around, and much more. This has her parents relieved. This means less work for me, says her mother, but is she growing up too fast? The answer is simply no. She is right on target. If she wasnt she would feel embarrassed. This is a stepping stone for the well being of her social health. As seen in the interview, at age three I represented things with words and images but lacked logical reasoning, played pretend, and was developing language. These are all key characteristics of the pre-operational stage of Piagets cognitive development theory.
