THE PACESETTER: Gensler tops the list of the largest architectural firms operating in Los Angeles County with $69.1 million in billings last year. That’s an increase of $13.9 mil-lion compared with 2011. The firm employs 239 people in its architecture practice in its downtown L.A. office. Of those, 89 are licensed architects. The firm works on some of the largest projects in the area. It is the architect for the proposed Farmers Field professional football stadium and Los Angeles Convention Center expan-sion by Anschutz Enter-tainment Group. Another large local project was the recently completed Fig at 7th retail center.
