• Outcomes– Decreased Number of children in out-of-home

care by 25.3%.– Increased the number of children able to receive

services in own home by 35.2%.– Decreased group home population by 36.8%.– Decreased average length of stay in care by 38.5%

(311 days).

high risk of child abuse or neglect– Short term outcome: • Build families’ strengths in areas related to Protective

Factors

– Long-term outcome:• Reduce the number of families that need child welfare

services in LA County

• Partnership for Families– Evidence-based, short-term, family centered intervention– Target population has high to very high risk factor and

closed referral disposition of inclusive– Emphasis is on children five years of age or younger; and– Community referred pregnant women who have risk

factor for child maltreatment– Short term outcome:

• Build families’ strengths in areas related to Protective Factors

– Long-term outcome:• Reduce subsequent involvement with DCFS
