Presetting: admin mode: competition design • A competition is an event which is limited by a predefined area and timespan. • The system can handle unlimited competitions • The competition has rules, terms and conditions and a predefined group list.

Groups The system allows a free group definition. As groups for the Banaue competition we

defined: • Senior citizen • Kinakin National School • Gohang National High School • Tour guides • Local people • Tourists

Moderator mode: comments, points and assigning species names

Every pictures is worth 2 basic points.

• If it shows other animals then butterflies or dragonflies the points are reduced to 1 point

• If the photographer already made an identification this is evaluated by the moderators and can get up to 3 additional points (or the loss of one point )

The rules and workflow

• Every user has to register. • Then he can join one or more competitions. • When joining a competition he has to select a

group where he belongs to. • The list of available groups is assigned to a

competition by the admin or moderator. • A species list can be assigned as well • The user uploads a picture or several pictures

using the batch mode • If the picture has GPS data he can select a

species and give a comment • If no location coordinates are available he has to

define one using a map
