The latest Edition of Germany’s leading international trade fair regarding the meat industry (IFFA) took place from the 4TH to the 9th of May 2019. The fair was held in the city of Frankfurt, and has been so for three years. It is one of the most important alimentary fairs in the world. Furthermore within the event lies a worldwide competition for high quality ham and sausages, counting an average of 18.000 participating products.
It was the first time ever that LOS ROMEROS DE JABUGO S.L participated in such an event, 27 firms regarding this sector were present and the Acorn-fed Iberian ham were one of the products that have been presented among many more. This competition was organized by the “German Butchers association” (DFV). LOS ROMEROS DE JABUGO S.L presented four of its products under the brand “La Jabugueña” and was the first to win 4 medals. Two Silver medals one for the “IBERIAN TERRINE DE PATÉ” and the other for the “IBERIAN CHORIZO”. Finally we have two Gold medals one for the “100% IBERIAN LOIN” and the other for the “100% IBERIAN HAM”.
The Jury handing out the awards are professionals belonging to the butcher’s association, they have the task to reward the participants: professionalism, dedication, and efforts; words that describe what has been established for the past 40 years in JABUGO. The employees played a vital role for the recognition of the products and the “Jabugo facility” on an International level. The grasslands of Jabugo are pure, well protected, and provide the best Iberian pigs that are known for its quality across the globe.
