Kali & Salz, Südsalz as well as the Schweizer Rheinsalinen are the most important salt suppliers Europe-wide and have been customers of Schenck Process for decades. Salt is processed in many ways in almost all industrial branches. In the food industry the largest portion of the table-salt production is used industrially and that for the production of, for instance, meat products, bread, and cheese.

Foodstuffs Salt production and processing

5000105341 – Z51150711/L

Salt productionIn Germany solely rock salt deposits are of significance for the production of salt. For this field Schenck Process mainlysupply beltweighers for the mass-flow acquisition during excavation.

Salt processingIn the processing of salt for, for instance, table salts or pharmaceutical salts for infusion solutions, mainly weighfeeders, loss-in-weight feeders,Big Bag discharge stations, and static weighers, e.g. hopper scales, areused.

Strengths of “SCHENCK” Feeders Load cells ( resolution 16,000,000 d vs 1,000,000 )

Strain guage load cell compared to vibrating wire digital load cell (fragile)

Shunt force absorbtion – mounting ring in flex hopper

Dismantling process

Stronger electronics and controls (EMC in built)

Wider range

Industrial cleaning, industrial tightness, possibility of high pressure wet / air cleaning

Hopper program

Strong controllers – INTECONT / DISOCONT –faster configuration tool in hazardous environment

Standardized AC drives
