Married Ann Hathaway at age 18 (she was 26!!) and together they had three children

Only went to school through grammar school

Plays were performed by Lord Chamberlain’s Men: a group of actors sponsored by the wealthy Lord Chamberlain

Starting in 1599 the Globe theater was built and Shakespeare’s plays were performed there
