INERARY

Day 1: Cusco – Quebrada Onda (downhill biking)

Pick up from your hotel at 5:30am. We drive by car towards Calca (2,900m) in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we enjoy breakfast. After breakfast we carry on driving for about 40 mins, till we reach Abra Amparaes (4,568m). Here we start with the adventures biking, which last about 5-6 hours. Along the way, we can enjoy views over the Highlands of the Andes including the animals who live in this region, like Alpacas and Lamas. We can also see traditional textiles in natural colors. We come across rocks with paintings, beautiful waterfalls, rivers and small valleys. We can enjoy an amazing view over the jungle from Yanatile. In the afternoon we arrive to the small village of Quebrada Onda (1,100m) where we have dinner and overnight in a hostal.

Day 2: Quebrada Onda - Q’ellouno “Cháhuares” (7- hours walking)We get up early and we take our transport and drive for approx. 1,5 hours till Cháhuares(800m). We have breakfast then we start our hike towards the sacred Mountain of Uruswaya. Along the way we can observe cafe and coca plantations, fruit trees, medical platns,waterfalls and phantastic views of the jungle below. At the end of our hike we will visit a zoo, with Ozelot (jungle cat), Pumas, Parrots, Dear, Monkeys

and turtles. We have dinner and overnight in a camp. Optional: campfire and the ceremony of Mother Earth.

Day 3: Echarati- Aguas Calientes (agricultural activity and 3 hours hiking)We have an early start and after breakfast we start our agricultural activity. During the next 3 hours we will learn something about the processing of coffee, coca and more (lunch). Afterwards we will go by transport to Quillabamba Sanbaray (1,100m) to visit pool and another small zoo. After that we continue to the visit Maranura, the Hacienda Chinche and the little colonial chapel, which is made of stone and adobe. Then we go by cay to Hydroelectrica, where we start our approx. 3 hours walk to Aguas Calientes. We have dinner and overnight in a hostel.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - CuscoIt is an early start, in order to walk up to the Sanctuary and to enjoy the sun rising over Machu Picchu. The walk will take us about 1,5 hours. We will enjoy a 2 hour guided tour, to visit the most important archeological sites. The rest of the day we will have for leisure. Optional: Huayna Picchu, entrance fee: 10 US$. Return by train and bus to Cusco. End of tour.
