Abraham didn’t ask God what to do about the famine he just moved to Egypt.

Lesson not learned by Lot: God is the leader you’ll find Him where you left Him.

Gen 12:7-9 7 And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him. 8 And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD. 9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south. Gen 13:6-7 6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together. 7 And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law. He must have had a history of wicked humor.

Gen 19:18-19 18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord: 19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

Imagined “evil” exalted over actual evil.

God’s “extreme” is your safety; the question is never “what’s wrong with it? The proper question is; What’s right with it? Ps 33:17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. Ps 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

Gen 19:8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man…How did they go from innocent to incest? Where did they get the wine? How did they know wine would work? Why would he drink himself unconscious 2 days in a row?Why didn’t he go back to Abraham? (Lot now owned nothing, there would have been enough room for him)

Luke 17:28-29 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 1Pet 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Heb 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
