Louisiana Festival Projects Teacher Notes

First, let me say that this activity is such a fun way to engage

students in the festivals of your area – and in my own home state

we have one or more EACH weekend of the year, either in the

northern part of the state, the southern part, the southwestern,

eastern or central part of the state..

We have become known as the Festival capital of the country here

in Louisiana which made me want to do these student activity

sheets. It only became an extension off of one of my favorite and

most successful activity "The "I Can't Believe There's Not One Yet"

Festival Project".

My students love this activity but I needed something simpler and

faster for them to do so therefore this activity came about. It can be

used for any state, anywhere, any month, any time of the year. I

hope it makes your class more exciting.

For us, I use it nearly any month of the year, but we can get away

with it with it only being a simple grade on a simple homework

assignment. Use one or all activities for your class and/or ages.
