• Louisiana is in the south of the U.S.

• Louisiana has marshes and fertile delta lands

• Place

• Louisiana is a good place to hunt and fish

What is happening?

• The flood will reach Baton Rouge on Wednesday May 18th

• The flood is slow moving which gives time for people to escape

Local Area

• The oil refineries are building barricades to keep the water out

• The rain caused the flood and everyone is leaving

World or Nation

• The world’s fish supply will go down because Louisiana brings in a lot of fish

• The nation’s oil supply will also go down because Louisiana has a lot of oil

What is being done?

• Volunteers are helping build barriers to keep water out

• Volunteers are helping the victims in Louisiana
