I went to the school named SMA Kesatrian 1 Semarang. I stayed in Indonesia for 4 weeks totally and I stayed in the Vice principal house. My reason why I took part in this program was very simple. It just came from my curiousity. I'm interested in the education of Japanese language because I study it in my university now, so I wanted to observe directly the implementation in foreign countries. I learned and experienced a lot of new things through this program. However I also noticed that I don't know much about my country as well. Okay, let's talk about my memories in Indonesia: First, it is about the school. I had some classes from Monday to Saturday. My work was introducing some Japanese cultures to the students in Japanese classes. Practically, I showed how to make origami and sang Japanese songs with everyone. Although I don't know that my classes were pleasant, the students of this school are friendly so they gave me the good feedback then. I was very happy and relieved. We have also the Japanese activity club after school every Tuesday. I could see many students who are interested in Japanese cultures then. Particularly, they like Japanese anime, drama, and music. They always enjoyed talking about them. I was glad to have exchange with them. Secondly, it is about my weekends. I spent them with my host family, my Japanese teachers and my friends. They are so nice and kind. The host father and mother always took good care of me. The host family's children are very cute, so I wanted to play with them more. They took me to every place if we have free time and they always complied with my wishes. My two Japanese teachers took care of me in the school mainly, but I went to home town of her on weekend. I could experience the different custom there. I could touch various Indonesian cultures on my weekends. In conclusion, I learned and experienced a lot of new things through this program. All my memories are my treasure. I didn't know what to do and I couldn't do anything at first because I was shy and I cannot speak not only Indonesian but also English well. However, I could finish my work safely and I'm satisfied with a lot of precious experiences now. If I hadn't have advice from my Japanese teachers and the others, the students and my host family, I couldn't do that. So, I deeply appreciate their kindness. I also noticed that I don't know much about my country so I have to study harder after I go back to Japan and I want to come back to Indonesia again. The CCIVS (Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service) UNESCO has invited the NGOs held on Mei 1 – 5th, 2015 in the city of Malolo, Manila. In this year, the CCIVS UNESCO has also accepted Dejavato's proposal to continue the sustainable project of Workcamp Patrimonito in 2015. The opening ceremony was held on Mei 1st, 2015 on the International labor day. The local government of Malolo has welcomed us warmly. Traditional dances and songs were presented to welcoming us as well as to celebrate the Labor Day. The participants were coming from many countries such as China, Macau, Philippines, India, Nepal, Vietnam and Indonesia. All the representatives from each NGO had to present their projects in 2015.
