LET US PRAY

•Our Heavenly Father we thank You for your Grace and Mercy upon our lives. We acknowledge Your precious Holy Spirit as our Teacher whom will teach us all things (John 14:26). •We acknowledge that we can’t learn the truths of Your Word by our intellect but they have to be revealed to us by Your Holy Spirit in our hearts.


LET US PRAY

•Father we ask that your Holy Spirit ministers to us and reveals the truths of your Word to us as we go thru these slides. This we ask Father, in the name of your only begotten Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.


WHY IS LOVE(THE LOVE OF GOD) THE WAY TO VICTORY?

•The Question – In our Walk of Faith with the Lord is Love the way to victory? • Response - Oh a resounding Yes! Yes!! Yes!!!• Justifications from the Scriptures – • 1st Corth 13:1-2 - Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become as sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.



• Justifications from the Scriptures – • 1st Corth 13:3, - And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.• Verse 8 – Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.• Verse 13 - And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.



• Justifications from the Scriptures – • Faith works through Love – Galtn 5:6 – For in

Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.• Mark 12:30-31 – And you shall love the Lord

your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.



• Justifications from the Scriptures – • 1st John 4 – 7-8 – Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.• John 13:34 – A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.



• Justifications from the Scriptures – • Thus love is a necessary condition for us to be effective witnesses which is a very important aspect of our assignment (Matthew 28:19). • Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.


INSIGHTS ON HOW TO WALK IN THE LOVE OF GOD AS CHRISTIANS

•Asking For Wisdom: A Good Way To Start • Eph 3:17-19 – That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.



•Asking For Wisdom: A Good Way To Start • Eph 1:16-20 – I Cease not to give thanks for you,

making mention of you in my prayers, That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set him at His own right hand in the heavenly places.



•First Things First – •As Christians, we already have the love of God shed abroad in our heart. Rom 5:5 – Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.



•How Do we Exercise This Love?•1st Corth 13: 4-7 – Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.



•How Do we Exercise This Love?• Math 5:44-46 – But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?



•How Do we Exercise This Love?•Romans 12:17 – 19 – Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.



•How Do we Exercise This Love in Conflict Resolution?•Eph 4: 15-16 – But speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head – Christ – from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.


INSIGHTS ON HOW TO WALK IN THE LOVE OF GOD AS CHRISTIANS•How Do we Exercise This Love in Conflict Resolution?•Math 18: 15 -17 – Moreover, if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. But if he will not hear you, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he refuses to hear them tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.



•How Do we Exercise This Love in Conflict Resolution?•Eph 4: 31-32 – Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.



•How Do we Exercise This Love in Conflict Resolution?• John 7:24 – Do not judge according to appearance but judge with righteous judgement. •What then is righteous judgement?• John 5:30 – I can of Myself do nothing. As I

hear, I judge; and my Judgement is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent me.• Judging by God’s standards i.e. His Word



•How Do we Exercise This Love in Conflict Resolution?•Math 7:1-4 – Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the same measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, Let me remove the speck out of your eye; and look a plank is in your own eye?



•How Do we Exercise This Love in Conflict Resolution?•Math 7:5 –Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.• Love has to be our motivation and the Word of God the standard.• Romans 13:10 – Love does no harm to a

neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilment of the law.



- SOME DEMONSTRATION OF GOD’S LOVE

•Demonstration of God’s Love• John 3:16-17 – For God so love the world that He gave His only begotton Son that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.




•Demonstration of God’s Love•Romans 5: 8-9 – But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.




•Demonstration of God’s Love•Eph 2: 4-6 – But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.


SUMMARY

•In summary, love is the way to victory because love never fails and God is love.•As Christians, the love of God has already been shed abroad in our heart by the Holy Spirit and we have the capacity to love God’s way.


SUMMARY

•Our goal is to continually grow in love as this will place us on the path to being filled with all the fullness of God.•Imagine the supernatural reality… Heaven on Earth!!!


RECEIVING THE GIFT OF SALVATION •Are you saved? Have you received God’s gift of salvation (Eph. 2:8)? I encourage you to accept the Lord’s precious gift of salvation which is freely available to the whole of mankind.•Faith in Jesus Christ is primarily what is required to be saved. The bible tells us for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23) and the wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23). As a result, the whole of mankind deserves to be separated from God eternally (Rom 6:23).


RECEIVING THE GIFT OF SALVATION •However, our Father loves us dearly and as such he sent His only begotten son to die in our place (John 3:16-17) so that we may be saved and has through Christ reconciled us back to Himself (2nd Corth 5:18). • It is not His desire that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2nd Pet 3:9) and accept His precious gift of salvation. RECEIVING THE GIFT OF SALVATION •Father I come to You in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that He died for my sins and was raised from the dead for my justification according to the scriptures. I believe that because of His death, burial and resurrection, I am set right with God. So I receive Him(Jesus) in my heart as my saviour and confess Him with my mouth as my Lord. Thank You, Lord.
