Love Wins Because ...We Serve a Risen

Savior!Rom. 1:4 and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of

holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

Today is a day known as “Easter Sunday!”

✥Church attendance will swell today by 25 to 50% on average!✥More visitors on average will

show up today than any other day!✥All of this is because the

world at large is thinking about the “resurrection of Jesus” today!

Remembering the resurrection everyday!

✥Early Christians came together, every “1st Day” to celebrate and commemorate the death & resurrection of Jesus!✥Act 20:7 Now on the first day of the week,

when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.

I would like to use our time today to look at what the resurrection

means to us!✥The Resurrection Chapter! ✥1 Cor 15:13 But if there is no resurrection

of the dead, then Christ is not risen.✥1 Cor 15:20 But now Christ is risen from

the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

I. Death Couldn’t Hold Him!✥Have you ever really thought

about just how amazing it is that Jesus rose from the dead?✥Jn 10:17-18 "Therefore My Father loves

Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. "No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father."

Power over death!✥1 Cor, 15:3-4 For I delivered to

you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.✥Jesus has power over death,

death could not hold Him!

We can rejoice knowing that death is not the

end!✥The fact is that death is not the end for anyone, all will one day rise and answer for their lives!✥Rom 14:11-12 For it is written: "As I live,

says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God." So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

The good news is we have hope!✥1 Thess. 4:13-14 But I do not want

you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

✥Php 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Cf. 2 Cor. 5:1-2)

II. Devil Doesn’t Win!✥The Devil may have been smiling

at the crucifixion, but you can bet he was shaking at the resurrection!

✥For thousands of years Satan might have thought he had the upper hand! (Cf. Rom. 3:10-12, 23)

✥But, he should have not forgotten the promise made back in the garden!

✥Gen 3:15 ... He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel."

Our God is greater!✥1 Jn 4:4 You are of God, little

children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.✥May we never forget that God

always wins in the end!✥Rev 17:14 "These will make war with the

Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings!”

When we learn to trust in God and depend on Him, we also

will win against Satan!✥Js 4:7 Therefore submit to God.

Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

✥1 Pet 5:8-9 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

III. Deliverance Can Be Had!✥We often sing a song “Victory

in Jesus” and indeed there is!✥1 Cor 15:55-57 "O Death, where is your

sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

✥Take that you Devil! You lose!

Deliverance from darkness and sin!

✥Rom 7:24-25 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God-- through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

The child of God has been delivered!✥Rom 6:3-5 Or do you not know that

as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.

Conclusion:✥Have you buried the old

man, have you been put to death, have you risen to walk a new life in Christ?

✥Love wins every time because we serve a risen Savior!

✥Have you allowed love to win in your life?
