Green Power 2200-TLow power and power efficient computing are becoming ever more important concepts for the IT
industry as power costs increase and environmental impact becomes more significant. Boston
and Supermicro have worked together for many years to create the industry’s most power
efficient solutions whilst still maintaining performance leadership.
Drawing on technologies from our other product ranges and complementing our existing range of Green
Power solutions, Boston are proud to announce our Green Power 2200-T compute server.
Ideal for datacentres and cloud computing installations, the Boston Green Power 2200-T packages eight
high-performance, ultra-low power, Intel Atom-based compute nodes within a single 2U rackmount
enclosure.
Each of the 8 nodes are based around the latest Intel Atom D525 processor and are coupled with up to
4GB of DDR3 SDRAM. Storage needs are fulfilled by 3 x 2.5” drives bays (per node) supporting both SATA
HDDs and SSDs.

To ease maintenance and future
upgrades, each pair of nodes are
mounted in hot-pluggable canisters
which can be removed and installed
at any point without impacting the
operation of the remaining nodes. Also, to improve performance and reliability, the entire solution is cable
free internally.
Remote system management and health monitoring are achieved using industry standard IPMI hardware
coupled with supplied software, a web GUI or a customer’s choice of IPMI compliant software.
For maximum uptime whilst reducing energy consumption, the Green Power 2200-T comes with a
redundant 720W PSU system with a class leading 93% efficiency rating.

Asset Management
Facilities allow us to tag and catalogue hardware as required with data recorded into a SAP database which can be interrogated by you as and when required using a secure on-line service.
Delivery and Installation
Options are available using professionally trained personnel. The services include timed deliveries through to out-of business hours installations should these be required.
Worldwide Support and Maintenance
Options are available on a fully tailored basis, these include, RTB or On-Site options, with response times of 4 hours, 24x7 and 365 days a year.
Upgrade, Replacement and Disposal
Solutions are available for all hardware sold. In partnership with WeeeCare® plc and as part of the WEEE Directive, we can offer earth friendly disposal options for your clients as and when these needs arise.
