SUMMARY OF LESSON
In this lesson, the students will be involved in speaking, reading and writing activities. Firstly, the teacher starts the lesson by refreshing students
with the previous lesson. Then, the teacher explains Handout 1, which she has distributed to the students earlier. The teacher emphasizes the
meaning of each term: main idea, controlling ideas and supporting details. Next, students are required to identify the main idea, controlling
ideas and supporting details based on Article 1 which was also distributed earlier. Then, teacher picks one mind map and transfers it into the
paragraphing outline form. At the same time, the teacher helps the students to build the outline. The teacher guides students on how to build a
good paragraph. Finally, the teacher restates the steps on how to build a good paragraph.
