The Higest points are indicated by Ceanothus spp. and Digitaria spp. The two type of plants are well adapted to grow in hills, and also on sunny areas. By being able to place the higest points it has provided clues on where the North arrow should be.

The Lowest points are indicated by the tree Quercus ilex. as well as the stream, basin, and river.

The Slopes are indicated by trees and river. The trees that grow best in slopes are Citrus x sinensis, Citrus limon, and Sedum spathulifolium.

Fields

The Fields are indicated by plants that grow like Festuca arundinacea x hybrid

Can be viewed in two areas of the map towards the South side. Citrus sinesis crop is being grown and on the residential area there is Mag-nolia grandiora surrounding the Saint Mary.

Can implied the location by the type of planting. Residen-tial is in front of the mall, there is a large area of plant-ing that represents a noise cancellation towards the residential.

Can implied the location by the type of planting. Residen-tial is in front of the mall, there is a large area of plant-ing that represents a noise cancellation towards the residential.

Shows a mall, coee shop, ice cream shop, park, and gas station. The commercial area is heavily planted surround-ing the residential and school for more of a private area.

Is shown by the type of plant-ing which is Sidalcea oregana close to the basin.

This ares seems to not be touch as much due to plant-ing surrounding the area.

Festuca arundinacea x hybrid is used as a field

Sidalcea oregana is well known to grow best in wet landsDigitaria spp. grows best in hills/slopes and Fraxinus species grows best iclose to water. Sidalcea oregana is best grown in 0 to 9980 elevation and it is best suited marsh-es or meadows.

River

Basin

StreamWet land

StreamA river is a possibility as it has a stream which comes from the basin. It is located at the lowest point and can be determined by surrounding plants.

BasinThe basin can be used to store water or diverted back to a stream. The basin was located based on the topographic inforam-tion base on the plant spiecies growing around the area.

RiverThe river is a collection of high points and travels to a basin. The basin can have the potential to hold water or travel it to a stream at a lower level. At the lowest point the water will drain.

Marshes/Meadows/WetlandsMarshes, meadows, and wetlands can be easily found in shallow depressions in land. Which passes through the freeway and street from a culvert. Plants can imply a wet-land spreading around the water.

ContextCalifornia native plants

The river flows down which it is caught by the basin. the basin has been placed in the center of two wetlands which can easily flow to the basin and into the stream as a run off. This is determined by plant based shapping the topographic.
