The new 3D fiber Laser Marker from the LP-M series Since the release of the first fiber Laser Marker in 1999, Panasonic has constantly developed and improved products to fulfill the customers’ increasing requirements regarding quality and reliability. The main focus of development has been to expand the functionality, enhance productivity, and to meet the latest safety standards.
The LP-M series is characterized by phenomenal high power and the ability to mark in 3D, making the Laser Marker a universal tool capable of a high marking speed.
The 50W high-power laser enables deeper and faster marking and processing. The higher wattage improves the tact time significantly.
3D control capability allows marking on various types of products and complex shapes to solve a large number of different applications.

Panasonic Industrial Devices SUNX‘s top-level 50W high output FAYb Laser Marker processes or marks deeper and faster on metallic work-pieces. Handles an expanded range of Laser Marker marking / processing applications.

Highlights
The high-power laser allows texts to be marked much faster or to engrave deeper than before.
The larger the energy amount sent to the workpiece, the faster and deeper the marking / processing. Takt time reduction greatly enhances productivity.

Dual protective IP64 design
Many of our customers have expressed the need to reduce maintenance costs and this is why Panasonic has created the Dual Protective Design (DPD) for the fanless head of their Laser Markers. This means the LP-M series can be used in harsh environments where they are exposed to dust and water.

3D Control capability allows marking on various types of products and complicated shapes to meet a large number of applica-tion needs. Enables the best marking on every product type. The LP-M series contri-butes to production efficiencies, equipment miniaturization and reduced costs.

3D marking on various shapes
Due to the z-axis stroke mechanism it is possible to mark even the most complex shapes with great accu-racy. Thanks to the uniform beam thickness, shapes with a height difference of up to 44mm can be marked with excellent precision.
High-performance z-axis stroke mechanis
Customers no longer need to position the work-piece exactly for marking as the displacement sensor detects the product reliably and ensures stable marking quality.
Automatic distance measuring with displacement sensors
NAVILINK-3D software
This optional software lets you teach in the shape of the workpiece quickly. After you have entered the marking content in a few easy steps, you can preview the marked product in a 3D simulation.

Laser beam
The FAYb laser amplifies a weak la-ser beam from a master oscillator as it passes through a fiber treated with the element Ytterbium to emit a strong laser beam. Conversion loss is minimal as the FAYb laser amplifies laser beams in the fiber and achieves an excellent beam-to-beam conversion efficiency of approximately 50%.

Simple connection to multiple Laser Markers and peripherals.
Supports Ethernet
Settings can be saved to a commercially avail-able USB flash drive source to backup mar-king conditions, or copy data to multiple Laser Markers.
USB connector
The marking area or cha-racters to be marked are traced with a red light. Time required for marking can be measured in advance, which helps to perform checks before marking.

Accessories
A high demand to provide not only Laser Markers, but also a professional environment for their operation led Panasonic to develop the new workstation.Panasonic currently offers three different models. A rotary indexing table system with x-, y-, z-axis move-ment and 360° rotation axis. Suitable for small and in-dividual series. All Panasonic fiber laser and the LP-GS are integrated.
Protective enclosure
With the color touch panel LP-ADP40 a simple operation of the Laser Marker systems is guaranteed. Even persons unfamiliar with machine operation can easily handle it. An intuitive and understandable software package allows the operator to access all setting screens, and the ergo-nomically designed touch panel is easy to operate re-gardless of whether it is attached to a machine or held by the operator.
Touch panel
To protect your eyes against laser radiation we offer special goggles for laser marking systems. The protec-tive goggles allow you to move and act freely in the dangerous operation zone and prevent damage to your eyesight even if you unintentionally look into the laser beam.
Protective goggles
Panasonic recommends employing an extraction unit when using a Laser Marking System. This protects the operator from health hazards and extends the service life of the laser. Special laser fume extraction units are available, e.g. for PVC marking applications.
