Check the box and make sure everything is there.

Disconnect your existing modem.Unplug the mini-USB from your existing modem.

Separate the base of the mounting tab. Once the modem is removed, separate the base of the mounting tab base from the head of the mounting tab.If your existing modem was not installed with black mounting tabs, skip this step.

Find your existing modem. The modem should be inside the Enphase combiner box, which should be located near the wall-mounted disconnect switch, net meter or electrical panel that houses your solar-specific breakers.

Pull out the black mounting tabs.Pull out the black mounting tabs that secured the installation bracket to the mounting surface. If your existing modem was not installed with black mounting tabs, skip this step.

Set the mounting tab heads aside for installation of new modem. If your existing modem was not installed with black mounting tabs, skip this step.

Once you open the combiner box, you will see your existing modem.

Remove the modem from the combiner box. Remove the modem and the installation bracket from the combiner box. If your existing modem was not installed with a bracket, simply remove it from the combiner box.

Place the mounting tab bases back into the pre-existing holes in the combiner box. If your existing modem was not installed with black mounting tabs, skip this step.

Replacing your modem is quick and easy! Follow these simple steps:

Attach the antenna to the cell terminal on the side of the modem.

Insert the mounting tab heads into the mounting tab bases to support the modem. If your existing modem was not installed with a bracket and mounting tabs, skip this step.

Insert the metal mounting bracket into the slot on the back of the modem. If your existing modem was not installed with a bracket, skip this step.

Connect the mini-USB cable to the new modem. Make sure the other end of the USB is still connected to the USB port(s) on the Envoy Communication Gateway. Do not replace the existing power cable with the new power cable provided.

Place your new modem in the combiner box. Make sure the mounting bracket lines up with the mounting tab bases. If your existing modem was not installed with a bracket and mounting tabs, simply return the new modem back to the same position as the old modem.

INSTALL YOUR NEW MODEM


Once all the LED lights are on, the modem will automatically connect to the internet. This may take up to 5 minutes.

Verify the connection. Verify the connection by checking that the green LED icon next to the cloud icon on the Envoy Communication Gateway is illuminated.

Your new modem has been successfully installed!

Place your old modem back in the new modem packaging. Place your old modem, bracket and antenna back in the box.

16Seal the box with tape.A return label was included with your new modem. Attach the label to the sealed box and give it to the carrier.

We will handle the recycling of your old modem.

Your new modem is installed!

RETURN YOUR OLD MODEM FOR RECYCLINGWhen you return your old modem, it will be properly recycled to help reduce landfill waste. Diverting waste away from landfills prevents pollution that can harm our health and the environment. Thanks in advance for doing your part!
